About
RGLA is a boarding high school for poor boys that redeines education as a practice of freedom and a service to humanity. We take Houston's most at-risk boys, revolutionize their talents, provide an innovative, project-based curriculum, and challenge them to change their communities. Graduates are martial-arts trained, fluent in two foreign languages, and have served internationally, launched four community initiatives, passed required exams and gained entrance into top-tier colleges. Summer 2015, we are hosting a camp for 30 boys ages 13-17 from around Houston to pilot our revolutionary school model. In a two-week simulated boarding environment, our 30 campers will have the opportunity to engage in self-discovery, gain exposure to a college campus, learn with professionals in the field, glean from a diverse set of worldly teachers, and use a project-based learning model to create and execute a solution that aims to address a persistent challenge in a their own community.
